Life, Money and Gratitude # 41 Planting seeds is the only way to get things to grow

Spring is the time for planting seeds. What works in nature also works in your mind. Deciding what you want to plant determines the means and methods of how you're going to do it. The possibilities are endless.
Let’s say you decide you want to grow tomatoes (or whatever). There are dozens of different varieties, which one do you choose? Understanding that if you want tomatoes, you must plant tomato seeds not cucumbers or mushrooms. You can’t plant one thing then expect something else.
You must get specific, here are some things to consider:
What are you using them for?
How much space do you have?
Are you going to pot them or put them in a garden?
Do you have enough sunlight?
Are you willing to water it everyday?

For today, let’s say you decided on plum tomatoes because you can make them into a yummy sauce in the future. Now that you know what you're going to plant you can go online, or seek advice about the best way to plant and grow plum tomatoes.
Proper soil
Good location
Reputable seeds
Sunlight
Proper size pot or spaced enough in the garden
Watering can or garden hose
Everything is checked off, now it’s time to plant the seeds, then faith.
It would be silly to dig up the seeds everyday to see if they’re growing; you must allow it to germinate and take root. Patience, you continue to water it and take care of it day after day.

If all goes well a plum tomato plant will eventually sprout, but your job isn’t done yet, now you have to cultivate it. You continue to water it, keep it in the sunlight and weed it if necessary. You put supports next to it so it can grow tall and wide to allow the most amount of tomatoes. You put your heart into it.

Then, Harvest Time! Delicious red plum tomatoes by the basket full. You get to enjoy the fruits of your labor, these will probably be the tastiest tomatoes you’ve ever had (and make an extra yummy sauce).
Your mind works in a similar fashion, the seeds are the ideas and desires you plant in your mind. You have to be specific and define what you want. It has to be crystal clear in your imagination.
For example, let's say you want a home.
What kind of home do you want?

An apartment, a duplex or maybe a house
In the city, the suburbs or the countryside
Number of bedrooms _ number of bathrooms
A balcony, outdoor space or a yard
Sunset view, lake view, city view or mountain view
Close to neighbors _ or spread out
Close to a grocery store, hospital, school or an airport
Public transportation, a parking spot or a garage …
If you’re not specific you’ll probably end up with a home but it might not be the home you want.
DEFINE IT. Clearly and specifically. This goes for the things you want, the type of person you want to be, the level of happiness you want, the amount of love you want to give and receive, everything.

Then write each idea or desire down on paper in detail. Fold the paper in half and on faith write Thank You on the paper as if you’ve already received it and put it away. You’ve planted the seed in your mind, now go cultivate it.
It can always be springtime in your mind, plant many wonderful seeds. If by chance you don’t get a good harvest you can always try again and God willing you’ll be abundantly blessed with love and prosperity.
Attached is a PDF called Pull of The Future, a little something to help spark your imagination.
Until next time God Bless, and be well.
