Everyone has their own way of doing things. We have our own style.

If I asked 100 people to prepare a meal with the same ten ingredients we would end up with 100 different variations depending on each person's preferences.  This is a good thing.

A couple of weeks ago I put out a newsletter (Scoutmaster Minute to a New Eagle Scout)  and my son said, “Dad you need to learn to punctuate better and use better grammar”.  I said “ok, why don’t you correct it and we’ll go over it” 

So he checked my

• Grammar 

• Spelling

• Punctuation 

• Style 

There was a lot of corrective ink on my  newsletter, and my son was right. I could do better.  The thing that impressed me the most was his style, he has a very distinct way of writing, he has his own style that is very different from mine and we all do.  Each of us has our own way and that’s what makes us special.

I’m going to try to write better (no guarantee) and let’s all try to use our own style and share our gifts in our own way.
