It’s another new day, you stumble out of bed and enter a room, your finger glides over a device and wallah there is light. Your blurry eyes look at the face in the mirror and you smile. You turn a lever and water comes out of a spout and you splash some on your face.
That’s right you’ve entered one of the most amazing rooms in your home, the bathroom. Let's take a moment and see what you have access to.
system for cleaning yourself (shower, sink)
a waste disposal system (toilet and drains)
grooming area
medicine room
morning ritual area
lighting system
All of this, usually within 20-30 feet from your bed.
But we all know it’s so much more than that. How many ideas have you had taking a shower, or sitting on the toilet, or brushing your teeth? How many times were you able to think something through while you were there? How many times have you gone in there and just cried? It’s one of the few places you can be alone, you lock the door and it’s just you. A rare thing in this busy world.
When you look in the mirror on the wall you are looking into your own eyes, there is no one else. A few moments to yourself by yourself, I pray that you love what you see.
The next time you go into your bathroom (if you have one) remember how blessed you are and the wonder of it all.
