Life, Money & Gratitude #1 What do you want?...Questions to ask yourself

What do I want

What do you want?

A simple question that many people don’t answer.

Typically we are asked, what do you do?, where do you work?, where do you live?, where do you see yourself in five years?, maybe someone asks what do you enjoy doing? Is that who you really are? Is that what you really want?. Let's take a few minutes and imagine the possibilities. I know it's cliché, but if you know where you want to go, you can start figuring out a way to get there. Let's start at the beginning, what do you want?

Here are a few questions to help you get going.

Try to imagine that money is not an issue, imagine there is plenty of it, maybe you inherited a large sum from a distant relative.

WHAT would you do?

WHAT type of person do you want to be?

WHO would you spend your time with?

WHERE do you want to spend your time?

WHAT do you wanna spend your time doing ?

Maybe you have to look at it in terms of what you don’t want .

WHO don’t you want to be?

WHO don’t you want to spend your time with?

WHAT don’t you want to spend your time doing?

WHERE don’t you wanna be?

Mae West once said

“ Everything is in the mind. That’s where it all starts. Knowing what you want is the first step toward getting it.”

Try to write down at least 5 things that you want or don’t want.

Look at the five things you wrote down and ask yourself, why do I want (or not want) those things?

How will these things make my life better? How would they make things better for my family, my friends and my community?

This is a start, If you can figure out what you want, then you could ask how do I get it?

As Jim Rohn said,

“ If you don’t design your life plan, chances are you’ll fall into to someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” Try figuring out what you want, it could change the way you look at things and who knows maybe it'll inspire you.
